Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a combination of plywood and solid wood used in the Foldable Learning Tower, rather than solid wood alone?

We use a combination of plywood and solid wood to balance strength, stability, and weight. Plywood's layered construction offers durability while keeping the tower light enough for easy storage and movement. The solid wood top platform and handrails provide a sturdy, safe surface for your child to learn and play.

I ordered the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair - Baby Set but only received the Baby Set. Where is the high chair?

You only ordered the Baby Set (RRP $59). The high chair is sold separately (RRP $189) under the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair (now called Grow With Me Chair).

Why is the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair no longer available? Was it recalled or discontinued? Should I be concerned?

The product range, including accessories, is still available. We've renamed it to "Grow With Me" to avoid confusion, as many customers mistakenly assumed the chair was included with any accessory purchased under its previous name. The product and manufacturer remain unchanged, and we are continually introducing new accessories to complement the Grow With Me Chair.

I lost the manual for my Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair. Is there a digital copy available?

We understand! Manuals can sometimes go missing. You can find the User Guide online: Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair: User Guide. It includes step-by-step assembly instructions. If you encounter any difficulties, feel free to contact our Customer Experience Team at careline@nijibebe.com for further assistance.

I can't slide the seat plate or footrest in. It's too long. What should I do?

Once the side screws are tightened, the seat plate and footrest cannot be adjusted. To install them correctly, first align the middle pieces and then tighten the side screws. To change the seat height in the future, simply loosen the side screws first.

I've assembled my Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair, but it's still wobbly. How do I fix this?

If the chair feels shaky, unscrew all the screws and re-tighten them evenly. The wobbling may be due to uneven tightening or an uneven floor. For uneven floors, we recommend using chair felt pads on the affected legs.

Is it normal for the middle metal rod to not be fully screwed in, while the bottom one screws in completely?

Yes, it’s normal for a small gap to appear between the metal rod and chair legs when the footrest is close. Avoid forcing the metal rod to touch the legs, as this could damage the chair or affect its stability.

The top backrest has a slight gap on the left side, while the right side is fully in but appears to be pushed in too much, causing some wood surfaces to get scraped. Is this normal?

Check that all screws are tightened evenly. This issue is often due to uneven tightening, which can also make the chair feel wobbly. Tighten the screws carefully to fix this.

My Baby Set seems like it will fly out after I install it. Is this the correct installation?

Start by attaching the hi-back, followed by the seating rail. You should hear a click to confirm it’s securely in place. The seat plate should be in the first groove. Once your child is around 3 years old and can sit independently, you can remove the Baby Set and lower the seat plate to the second groove.

If I adjust the seat plate to the second groove, will I still hear the click sound?

The seat plate must be in the first groove. Placing it in the second or third groove may overstretch the Baby Set and cause potential damage.

My baby is 8 months old. Where should the footrest be positioned on the high chair?

For an 8-month-old, position the footrest at grooves 4 or 5, just above the middle metal rod. Ensure their feet are flat and knees are at a 90-degree angle for comfort and proper posture. Adjust the footrest as they grow.

How do I buckle the harness with the baby in it?

Place the baby in the seat and slide the shoulder straps over their shoulders. Buckle the strap between their legs, ensuring it clicks securely, and tighten the straps, leaving space for one finger between the strap and the baby’s chest. Always double-check the harness before each use to ensure safety.

Is the Tray Kit recommended for baby-led weaning (BLW)?

Yes! The waterproof Tray Kit (also called the "Big UFO") is perfect for BLW. It’s easy to clean, quick-drying, and minimises floor mess.

What’s the difference between the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair Bib & Tray Kit and the Tidy Tot Bib & Tray Kit for BLW?

Both kits serve the same purpose—providing an easy-to-clean surface for BLW. However, the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair Bib & Tray Kit is designed to fit our chair perfectly, while the Tidy Tot Bib & Tray Kit is made by a renowned brand known for high-quality baby products. Choose based on fit and brand preference.

Why don’t my suction bowls and plates stick to the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair Tray?

The textured surface of the tray reduces suction adhesion. Larger suction cups generally work better, and our Silicone Suction Plate has a large suction cup for better grip. For a smoother surface, try using the Brightberry Suction Sticker, but note that it’s not food-grade tested, so avoid serving food directly on it.

Do I need both the Niji Bébé Silicone Placemat and the Brightberry Silicone Placemat?

Having both is optional, but it can be convenient to alternate between washes. The Niji Bébé Silicone Placemat is designed for BLW and is lighter and thinner, while the Brightberry Silicone Placemat is thicker and heavier. If using the Brightberry Suction Sticker, a silicone placemat is necessary for food use, as the sticker has not been food-grade tested.

Can I use the Grow With Me accessories on the Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair?
