Foldable Learning Tower: User Guide
⚠️ WARNING!
Please read carefully and retain for future reference.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and Niji Bébé videos for the assembly of the Foldable Learning Tower. Niji Bébé cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from incorrect assembly, usage, or attachment that deviates from our guidance.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH FROM FALLS OR TIPPING OVER:
- Supervision is essential: Never leave your child unattended when using the learning tower.
- Always use the guardrails when your child is standing on the platform.
- Always keep your child in view and stay within reach.
- Do not use the learning tower unless all components are correctly assembled and adjusted. Pay special attention to the platform and step-up plate – ensure these are properly secured before allowing your child to climb the learning tower.
- The learning tower should be used by only one child at a time.
- Guide your child in safely climbing up and down the learning tower during the first use.
- Ensure your child climbs only on the step-up plate and stands solely on the platform of the learning tower, not on any other part.
- Ensure your child is dressed appropriately, avoiding loose clothing and items such as ponchos or scarves that may pose a safety risk.
- Keep away from heat sources: Do not place the learning tower near open flames or other heat sources, such as electric or gas fires.
- Always place the learning tower on a flat, level, stable surface. Never place it near stairs or windows.
- Keep the learning tower away from furniture, walls, hot surfaces, liquids, electrical cords, and window covering cords to avoid potential hazards.
- Safety tip: When not in use, remove the learning tower and store it away from furniture or surfaces that may pose a risk.
- Do not use the learning tower if any part is damaged, broken, or missing.
- Never replace parts or modify the learning tower in any manner.
- Age suitability: The Foldable Learning Tower is designed for children who are able to stand unaided, approximately from 18 months old.
- Check all screws for tightness regularly, especially 2-3 weeks after assembly. Continue to check and retighten them every couple of months if necessary.
- The Foldable Learning Tower is designed for indoor use only and is not intended for outdoor use. Exposure to sunlight and moisture will compromise its safety and durability, causing the product to deteriorate more quickly if used outdoors.
- Do not allow your child to climb on the learning tower when it is wet. Wipe it dry right away to prevent any damage.
- Do not attach any items to the learning tower that could pose a strangulation or tipping hazard (e.g., pet leashes, ropes, chains, etc.).
Assembly Instructions
The Foldable Learning Tower comes partially assembled, and only the attachment of the step-up plate is required.
⚠️ Choking Hazard: Small parts may pose a choking risk to your child. For safety, it is recommended that assembly be done away from your child, as they may pick up and swallow small parts.
A. Ensure the flat side of the step-up plate is aligned with the slots in the side panels. Keep it even and parallel to the floor, avoiding insertion at an angle. Slide it into the slot (without excessive force), ensuring it fits securely.
NOTE: If the fitting is too tight, slightly loosen the screws above the plate to allow it to slide in smoothly.
B. Once the step-up plate is in place, tighten all the screws above it firmly. Ensure the screws are tightened evenly to avoid any instability.
Tip: Tighten the screws until they are snug, but avoid over-tightening to prevent damaging the wood.
C. Place the learning tower on a level surface and check that the step-up plate is properly aligned and securely fitted. The step-up plate should be flush with the structure without any gaps.
D. Insert the screws for the step-up plate and tighten them firmly. Verify that everything is tight and stable before use.
Product Information:
- The Foldable Learning Tower is crafted from high-quality birch plywood and solid wood.
- The varnish contains no harmful substances, and the formaldehyde release from the varnish complies with E1 requirements.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Wipe the learning tower with a clean, damp cloth.
- After cleaning, use a dry cloth to wipe off any excess water.
- Important: Moisture can cause the stain/paint on the wood to crack, so avoid leaving the learning tower damp.
- We do not recommend using any detergent or microfibre cloths.
- Caution: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause colour changes to the learning tower.
