Step-by-Step Assembly Guide for Your Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair

Getting your Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair set up should be quick and easy — and we’re here to guide you through the process! When you open your box, the first thing you’ll see is your instructions manual, so be sure to keep it handy. Let’s dive into the assembly steps!

Step 1: Attach the Base Crossbar to the Legs

Start by attaching the base crossbar to the legs. Make sure the grooves face inward.

Important: Insert the shallow end of the nut first to ensure a proper connection.

Step 2: Insert and Tighten the Screws

Insert the screws and tighten them firmly, ensuring the base is secured in place.

Step 3: Attach the Two Metal Crossbars

Next, attach the two metal crossbars to the frame.

Pro Tip: Tighten these loosely for now — you’ll make the final adjustments once all the pieces are in place.

Step 4: Attach the Curved Backrests

Attach the two curved backrests by inserting the metal nut with the shallow end facing down.

Pro Tip: Tighten the backrests loosely at first.

Note: The backrest with the strap goes into the bottom slots.

Step 5: Slide in the Seat and Footrest

Slide the seat plate and footrest into their designated slots, making sure the straight edge faces forward.

Adjust the height and depth of the seat and footrest to suit the size of your child (refer to the instructions for seat and footrest adjustments).

Step 6: Final Tightening

Place the chair on a level surface.

Finally, tighten all screws firmly in the order provided in the manual to ensure the chair is stable and secure.

And that's it — your Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair is now assembled and ready to use! We hope these steps help make the process smooth and easy. If you have any questions or run into any issues during assembly, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Avoiding Damage During Assembly: A Quick Tip

We’ve noticed that some of you are experiencing issues with your high chair assembly, and unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to damage to the chair. 😢 But don’t worry — we’re here to help you avoid this!

Important: The seat plate and footrest should slide in effortlessly before you tighten the screws. The key point here is to make sure the alignment is perfect before tightening the screws!

Once you tighten the screws, the width of the frame compresses slightly to hold the seat plate and footrest securely in place. This prevents them from sliding off — especially when your child is climbing in and out of the chair.

This is true for both the Scandinavian Adjustable High Chair and the original STOKKE® Tripp Trapp® Chair.

Important Reminder

While it may look like the seat plate and footrest can slide in and out easily, you must loosen and tighten the screws every time you want to adjust them.

DO NOT use force or a hammer to fit the seat plate and footrest into place.

You only need an Allen key! 🙌

Why This Is So Important

When the screws are tightened, they lock the seat plate and footrest securely in place. Forcing the parts into position after the screws are tightened can cause significant damage to your chair. It’s essential to ensure everything is properly aligned before tightening. Always double-check your alignment, and remember — no hammering! 🙏🏻

We hope these tips help you assemble your chair without any hassle! Please take note of these guidelines during assembly to ensure the longevity and safety of your high chair.
